32 | LPA Lee reviewed the files for staff and children in care during the inspection. CPR for Director expires 02/2026. LPA observed that in each classroom, there is a pitcher of water/cups. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature was also tested and observed to be cold. The children's restroom are located in the Elmo room with total amount of three toilets and three sinks. There is an adequate supply of toilet paper, paper towel, and dispensable soap. For those children who cannot reach the toilet/sink a step stool is available. Staff have their own restroom in the hallway located in between the Big Bird room and Elmo Room. All cleaning products are stored the kitchen area and are inaccessible to children. All Trash containers used for storage of solid wastes, including moveable bins, have a tight fitting cover and are in good repair.
Napping cots were inspected for good repair and cleanliness. Each child have their own linen/blanket. Parents take the linens/Blankets home every Friday to have them washed bringing them back on Monday. The facility also keeps extra blankets and linens on hand. The facility have a washer and dryer to wash linens or clothing if need be. LPA Lee observed a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator, stove, a microwave oven, sink with hot and cold running water. Breakfast, Lunch and 2 Snacks is provided by the facility.
Medication: Facility administers prescription and over the counter medication. All medication is stored in the kitchen. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. No deficiencies were observed during the inspection at this time.
The notice of site inspection must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours of operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars.
