25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Case Management Other inspection at the above facility on 11/21/24 at 10:47 a.m. Upon arrival LPA met with licensee Ana Rivera Guerra. Also present was the licensee's daughter/assistant Destiny Guerra. Census was taken. The following was observed:
Upon arrival, LPA observed a sign posted on the front entrance of the gate that states to ring the bell and wait for assistance. LPA rang the bell and waited. As LPA was waiting for assistance, LPA heard child 1 (C1) in the front yard talking with another day care child through the living room window. LPA peeked into the front yard through a hole where LPA observed C1 was alone inside a playhouse. LPA rang the doorbell 3 more times; however, no one would respond. LPA also heard the facility was playing loud children's lullabies and therefore, they couldn't hear the doorbell. Licensee Ana Rivera Guerra came out at approx. 10:50am and greeted LPA. According to the licensee, C1 was not alone in the front yard. Licensee stated that she was also in the front yard; however, LPA did not observe anyone else. Upon entering the living room, LPA also observed that the licensee was removing C2 from a stroller. Per licensee, C2 was placed in the stroller due to being in the front yard for outdoor play; however, C2 was brought in the facility a few minutes before LPA arrived. LPA did not observe C2 to be napping in the stroller. LPA provided consultation regarding supervision and safe sleep. Technical violations were provided.
At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Therefore, no deficiencies are being cited.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee, Ana Rivera Guerra.
