| were not able to use the restroom in the hummingbird room, but they had 3 other restrooms that they usPertaining to the allegation: Staff did not ensure the plumbing was not in disrepair.
Per Reporting Party (RP), For three days the toilets were backed up, they did not flush and had a bad order.
Staff#1 (S1) disclosed there was a plumbing issue in the Humming Bird room that started on Wednesday 8/20/25 around noon. S1 stated the staff and children's bathroom were clogged and did not flush. The plumbers were called the same day and they arrived at about 1:30pm to work on the issues. The plumbing issues were fixed the same day. S1 stated the children were able to use three other restrooms on campus. The staff was instructed to use the restroom elsewhere and offered to use the restroom next door at a neighbor's home. Per S1 the plumber returned on 8/21/25 the plumber sent a camera down the line to make sure it was clear. On Friday 8/22/25 the Hummingbird class was closed and the remediation team came to dry the floors. They started on Friday and completed on Monday morning before school was opened.
LPA toured all the restrooms and observe all restrooms and sinks. LPA was able to observe the toilets flush with no problem and the water from the sinks come out with no issues. LPA did not observe any water on the floors nor did LPA smell an order.
Based upon evidence obtained during this investigation, the allegation "Staff did not ensure the plumbing was not in disrepair" has been determined to be Substantiated. A finding that the complaint is substantiated means that the allegation is valid because the preponderance of the evidence standards has been met.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Administrator/Director Krista Heske. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
