25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Lissete Gonzalez and Carolyn Tuba conducted an unannounced annual inspection in Spanish to the above facility on 05/18/2022. LPAs arrived at the facility at 9:19AM and met with Leydi Quintero, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection, was Yaneth Melendez, Licensee’s Assistant. Per Licensee, operating hours are from 5:00AM to 5:00PM. There are eight (08) children currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were eight (08) children present upon arrival, four (04) being infants.
This is a one-story home which consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, detached garage, front yard (fenced) and backyard (fenced). Per licensee, the children use the living room, dining room, bathroom (hallway), front yard (fenced) and driveway that leads to the back yard (gate located at the entrance to the backyard). Areas that will be used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating. There is a wall heater located in the hallway leading to the bathroom which is barricaded. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: two bedrooms, kitchen, laundry room, detached garage, and backyard (fenced). The licensee provides food for children in care.
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. Per Licensee, they currently have one assistant.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
