25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 03/26/25 at 09:05 a.m. LPA met with, Yanina Baltazar licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There was 01 child present during this inspection. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 06:00a.m. – 08:00 p.m and Saturday/Sunday from 08:00am-04:00pm
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, front yard, and backyard (fenced). Upon arrival, LPA observed a small fountain with running water in the front yard. According to the licensee, she has had the fountain since she moved into the home and was never told anything. Parents and children walk through the fountain during pick up and drop off. LPA advised licensee to add rocks or make it a planter to ensure that the fountain does not hold any water. LPA provided a technical assistance. Areas accessible to children include the living room, 1 bathroom, kitchen and back yard (fenced) for play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include 3 bedrooms and front yard. There is 1 dog on the premises. Per licensee, family members residing in the home are 2 adults and 0 minors. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing, or volunteering in a licensed home and are identified on the attached LIC811.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the living room where LPA observed age-appropriate toys, equipment, and materials for children. LPA also observed a barricaded wall heater and a play pen. According to the licensee, the wall heater was turned off. The kitchen is next to the living room and is accessible to children. Per licensee, children eat in the kitchen. LPA observed the kitchen cabinets have child proof locks. LPA observed a child proof gate between the living room and kitchen as well as the living room to the hallway where all bedrooms and bathroom are located. LPA toured the children’s bathroom located in the hallway. The children’s bathroom is in safe and in sanitary conditions. There’s also a first aid kit readily available.
