25 | On 5/5/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced Case Management-Other inspection to the above facility. A COVID risk assessment was conducted upon entry and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was used. LPA met with Office Manager, Debbie LaJoie, to whom the reason for the visit was explained.
The purpose of this visit was to take pictures and gather additional information on the facility swimming pool. Office Manager guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 13 children in care with 2 staff.
During this inspection LPA took pictures of the swimming pools (there is a large swimming pool and a smaller swimming pool on site) and pool area.
Licensee, Diane York states she owns the property and leases the property to the facility. Licensee states that the pools are cleaned weekly throughout the year and twice weekly during use, by Klein Pool Service. The pool cleaning service cleans the pools during business hours and enters through the front, green gate. Per Licensee, the pool cleaning company has a key to the green gate. Per Licensee the children use the pool primarily during the summer session which runs from 6/6/23 to 8/15/23. Licensee stated that if the weather stays warm, they use the pool after the summer session ends. Licensee also stated there is at least one lifeguard present while children are swimming, and all staff are CPR/1st Aid certified. Per Licensee the gardener comes weekly and cleans the pool area. The gardener enters through the side, interior, chain link gate.
No deficiencies are being cited at this time.
An exit interview was conducted with Licensee, Diane York. A copy of the report was provided along with Notice of Site Visit and appeal rights. |
