32 | Drinking water was readily available indoors and outdoors. Children bring water in their sports bottles from home. Facility has extra water on site if needed.
At this time, the far corner of the classroom is used as an isolation area, there is a cot available for an ill child to rest, and the staff restroom will be used if needed. Facility provides transportation after school and conducts vehicle maintenance quarterly or sooner as needed.
Licensing staff observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children, were kept in a locked cabinet. Classroom furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Facility has a full-size kitchen, with a stove, preparation food area, and a refrigerator to store food. All floors are clean and safe. All storage containers for solid waste, including movable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents.
Licensing staff observed the valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 07/08/2026, as indicated on service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually. Facility has functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detector that meets statutory requirements.
OUTDOORS: Licensing staff inspected the outdoor play area. There are currently 2 playgrounds. The preschool playground is shared with the school-age program, the facility currently has a waiver with staggered schedules for the preschool and school-age component. Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. LPA observed basketball court, picnic table and bicycle trail. There is adequate shade in the play yard. drinking water is readily available outdoors. The Director states that there are no bodies of water on the premises and LPA did not observe any bodies of water during this visit.
FACILITY RECORDS: Facility utilizes an electronic device called Pro Care to track attendance. In addition, sign in and out sheets are used when Pro Care is not operating properly. Disaster drills have been conducted at least every six months, previous emergency disaster drill was conducted June 2026.
