32 | LPA observed the children’s restroom to have two toilets located in the back between the two classrooms and were observed to have working toilets, sinks, hand soap dispenser and paper towels.
Heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated by LPA. LPA observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling. LPA observed the fire extinguishers in the classroom and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguishers indicating fully charged and serviced on 03/30/26. Smoke detectors were observed to be combined with the carbon monoxide detectors and were operable. The last emergency drill was conducted on 06/24/26. First aid kit supplies are kept inside the classrooms and LPA observed the kit to be fully equipped.
Per Site Supervisor, the facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack and all meals are delivered via a catering service. LPA informed licensee that any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. LPA observed the food preparation area, made inaccessible to the children by a gate, to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including movable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on. The knives and cleaning solutions were observed to be kept in a top cabinet making it inaccessible to the children. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents.
Licensing staff entered the outdoor play area and observed the playground yard to be fully fenced. The outdoor play equipment was observed to be free of sharp, lose or pointed parts. LPA observed two storage sheds in the outdoor area that are maintained locked. The Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around and/or under climbing equipment have cushioning material to absorb a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard via canopies.
LPA Solorio-Campos reviewed the children’s roster, children’s files, staff files, and sign in/out sheets. LPA observed the files to be complete.
LPA observed Site Supervisor’s Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification and expires 03/25/27. LPA observed Site Supervisor to have proof of immunization against Pertussis, MMR, and Influenza declination. Site Supervisor has a current mandated reporter (AB 1207) training and expires 10/2/27. Director was advised that the mandated reporter training must be completed every 2 years, and is available at www.mandatedreporterca.com
