25 | On 08/24/2023 at 12:00 PM an unannounced Required – 1 Year Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katrina Chicote and Raul Navarro. Licensing staff announced purpose of visit and initially met with Kristina Damon, Principal, who granted entry to facility. LPAs were joined by additional Facility Representatives (FRs): Veronica Morales, Sonia Gutierrez, Maria Harris, and Keokuk Legarde. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 60 currently have 47 enrolled. LPAs were taken on a guided tour of the facility of both indoors and outdoors. LPAs observed required licensing postings in entrance lobby as well as in each classroom.
At the initial start of the site visit, there is a total census of 37 infants and a total census of 12 staff present. The facility is made up of six classrooms. Facility is an Infant Program with a Toddler Component, there is also a Preschool program on site (#198019590).
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair in each classroom. LPAs observed surface of classrooms to be safe and clean and child appropriate tables and chairs available for children well maintained. LPAs observed a variety of age appropriate washable toys and equipment in each classroom and storage for toys have rounded edges and do not have lids. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. There were cubbies observed as storage for children's belongings. LPAs observed cribs and cots available for children in a separate area from activity space. Per FR, linens are provided by the facility and washed by laundry service, parents do bring additional blankets from home FOR toddlers which were observed stored in child's cubbies. LPAs reviewed Infant Safe Sleep logs for each child and Infant Safe Sleep plans for infants under 12 months of age. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPAs observed drinking fountains available in each classroom, per FR children are provided cups and bottles for infants under 12 months of age. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. LPAs observed bathroom available in classroom with diaper changing areas that is within arms reach of a sink and meeting Title 22 Requirements. Report Continues - Page 1 of 3 |
