25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Nolan Tcheng and Suzana Safaryan conducted an unannounced required inspection to the above facility. At 12:50pm, LPAs met Assistant Marine Sosyan, Licensee of adjacent facility #198018963. Also present during this inspection, was licensee's other Assistant. Licensee Taron Mayilyan arrived at 1:08pm. Per licensee, they stated they were helping get food for meals. The licensee states that they currently has 14 children enrolled. A current children’s roster is available and is current. Licensee’s hours of operation are 7am-11pm Monday-Saturday.
This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, living room, side (lunch) room, and backyard (fenced). The children use both bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, side room, kitchen, and backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parent include: the adult bathroom in the hallway. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that 1 adult and 0 minors currently live in the home. All persons living in the home are identified on the attached LIC811. Licensee states that they currently have one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per licensee, there are no weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
At 1pm, LPAs were led on a tour of the facility by the licensee. Upon entry in to the home, LPA reviewed the living room which is used as the main child care area. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License are observed to be posted next to the front door. There were age appropriate toys and equipment for children in care to use. Fireplaces and open face heaters are inaccessible to prevent access by children. LPA observed cubbies and an area for children to place their belongings. The next room reviewed was the dining area, that had age appropriate chairs and tables for children in care. There are first aid supplies available. REPORT CONTINUES PAGE 1 of 3
