25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Warren Birks conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with License Jolandra Navarre who provided assistance for the inspection. LPA observed Licensee and cleared assistants caring for six children.
The purpose of this inspection is due to providing an amended report due to LPA error. During the course of the previous November 28, 2023 inspection, LPA conducted interviews with four children, staff #1, staff #2 and Licensee Navarre. LPA also made a request to an outside agency and is waiting documentation or reports regarding this incident (if any). During the interviews, LPA received no disclosures from children or staff indicating they have ever witnessed a personal rights violation.
Staff followed the required protocol in terms of "reporting requirements" as the October 30, 2023 incident was reported to Child Care Licensing within 24 hours (or the next business day). The facility also provided a written report within seven days.
Note: LPA also emailed Licensee Personal Rights guidance and links to a Personal Rights video for education purposes. LPA advised to share with staff and future staff.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. This report along with a copy of the appeal rights was provided. Exit interview was conducted with Licensee Jolandra Navarre. |
