25 | On July 24, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by licensee, Alejandra Martinez who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Also present in the home was licensee's assistant Yasmine Ruiz. LPA observed 3 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 5PM.
LPA observed a waddling pool in the front yard where children play. Per licensee, the children just finished their water play and were coming inside for lunch. Licensee stated that the children would be continuing their water play after nap time LPA reminded licensee, that the water needs to be emptied from the pool and the pool needs to be turned over; Licensee understood. Licensee has a hot tub located in the front yard that is accessible to children. There is cover on the hot tub that is securely secured to prevent children from accessing the hot tub.
This is a single-story house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathroom, carport located in the rear yard, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, dining room, kitchen, completely fenced rear yard and front yard. The day care takes place in living room, dining room, bedroom #1, bathroom located in bedroom #1 and front yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
