32 | incident took place. Staff #1 stated the carpet area has been moved further away from the windowsill since the incident occurred, as another precaution. Per Director, there are no cameras in the classrooms, therefore no video footage was available for review.
Based on declarations and interviews from staff, there was adequate supervision (2 staff and 16 children) at the time of the incident. C1 was taken for medical treatment and per Director, medical staff glued the wound closed. C1 has returned to day care.
Based on information obtained during this investigation, no additional follow up is necessary regarding the incident reported. The facility followed all proper procedures; staff administered first aid, the facility was in ratio at the time of the incident, child’s parents were notified, incident report was sent in properly and timely, and all medical needs were met.
No deficiencies are being cited at this time.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
