25 | On 9/15/26, at 9:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joe Katrdzhyan conducted an Unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival, LPA met with Staff / Aldona Avagyan and was joined by the Licensee / Mariam Armenakyan shortly after, who assisted with the visit. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection. Entrance Checklist – Family Child Care Homes was provided to the Licensee. Adults in the home were discussed and all have criminal record clearance. There were ten (10) children present at the time of today’s inspection. The Licensee stated that there are currently thirteen (13) children enrolled. The children’s roster was reviewed and found to be current. Per the Licensee, the facility’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:30AM to 5:30PM. Emergency Disaster Plan, License, and Parents’ Rights were posted at the time of inspection. Disaster drill log was also available during today’s inspection and the last disaster drill was conducted on 7/6/2026.
This is a single-story home consisting of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a front yard, two side yards, and a backyard. The home does not have a garage or a laundry room. According to the Licensee, parents drop off and pick up their children at the main entrance, which leads to the living room. Areas that are accessible to children are as follows: Bedrooms 1 - 3, bathroom 2 (which is located inside of bedroom 3), living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 side yards and back yard. There is a decorative fireplace located in the dining room which has been disconnected/removed. Per Licensee, off-limits areas are as follows: Bathroom 1 (located inside of bedroom 1) and front yard. The off-limits bathroom is made inaccessible by a child proof door knob/lock.
All areas identified on the facility sketch as accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for the safety of the children. The home is equipped with wall mounted air conditioning and heating units throughout. There is a working telephone maintained in the home. LPA observed age appropriate toys, free of loose and sharp parts. LPA observed electrical cover outlets all through the home.
