25 | LPA Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with Licensees Hana Tan and Angel Lee. LPA Lee observed 2 children in care with both licensees. The following was observed
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is an apartment on the top floor of the apartment building. The home consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 restrooms, kitchen, living room/dining room. There is a pool located outdoors that is available to all the tenants of the apartment complex. However the Licensees stated that they have never taken the children outdoors and used the community pool when providing care for children.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Per applicant there are no weapons or firearms in the home. None were observed.
Accessible to daycare children: 1 bedroom, 1 restroom, living/dining room.
Off limits/inaccessible to daycare children: 1 bedroom with bathroom (under lock and key), the kitchen, .
LPA inspected the areas to be used by the daycare children. One bedroom will be used for napping and activities. The children’s restroom was inspected. The cabinets in the restroom had a safety latch. There were toys and games for children to use. The kitchen was inspected and observed to be off limits via a safety gate. Knives, medications, and other hazards are kept in a cabinet out of reach of children. |
