25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Green conducted an announced case management licensee-initiated inspection. Licensing staff met with Licensee, Jennifer Moore. Also present during this inspection was the Site Director, Christina Jennings. The facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7am to 6:30pm. This facility also has an infant license #198020505 located on the same premises.
This is a preschool program that is currently licensed to operate from 2 classrooms (2’s and 3/4’s classroom). Licensee is requesting to decrease their licensed capacity by removing the 3/4’s classroom and changing it to become the new 2’s classroom. The 2’s classroom will be redesignated as the Toddler Option classroom under the Infant license.
LPA was provided a tour of the facility’s existing licensed areas. During this inspection, LPA observed 20 preschoolers with two staff in the 3/4's classroom. In the 2’s classroom, LPA observed 23 preschoolers eating lunch with two staff. The facility was observed to be operating within its licensed capacity. LPA observed each classroom to contain 2 toilets and 2 sinks. There is a changing table within arm’s reach of a sink located within the 3/4’s classroom. Per the Licensee, the changing table was installed to accommodate the request to change the classroom into the 2’s classroom.
Licensing staff was guided through the outdoor activity areas. The outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor equipment was observed to be age-appropriate. The outdoor activity space surface was observed to be maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. There is adequate shade available outdoors via canopies. LPA observed cushioning material available around and/or under climbing equipment to absorb a fall. LPA did not observe any violations or hazards outdoors.
