On Monday March 10, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA’s) Joanne Solorio Campos conducted an unannounced annual inspection and met with licensee, Sang Suh who guided LPA Solorio Campos on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 2 children present. LPA observed facility to be within ratio. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00a.m-6:00pm and care for children ages 0 to 3 years old.

This is a two-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, office and laundry room in the 1st floor and 5 bedroom, each with a private bathroom in the 2nd floor, fenced backyard, front yard, garage and two storage rooms in the back of the house. The children have access to the 1st floor restroom and two of the bedrooms. Per licensee, areas off limits to children include: 1 bedroom on the 1st floor, bathroom #2, the office, laundry room, garage, storage rooms in the back of the house, front yard and the whole 2nd floor which is accessed through a door and the door was observed to be locked making inaccessible to the children in care.. Family members residing in the home are 2 adults (criminal record clearances on file). The LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch during this visit.

LPA inspected the facility for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation and working phone (cell phone and landline). For ventilation, LPA observed central AC and the vents located on the ceiling. LPA observed the furniture, manipulatives, books, soft plush toys and other age-appropriate materials that were well maintained and free of loose, sharp, and pointed parts. LPA also observed a changing table in bedroom #2 with a sink at arm’s length and a vinyl mat that was observed to have no rips or tears and free of debris.

LPA observed cleaning compounds items, stored underneath the kitchen sink, and observed a childproof lock in place, making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed the knives and sharp objects stored inside the top kitchen cabinet with a childproof lock making it inaccessible for children to open.

The licensee stated the facility provides breakfast, lunch, and pm snack. LPA informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. For water drinking, licensee stated she provides water.
Licensee stated she currently does not have any children with severe food allergies nor on medication.

LPA Solorio Campos entered the bathroom and observed a working toilet, working sink with hand soap and the bottom sink cabinet was closed with an operable child proof lock. LPA reminded licensee and personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.

LPA Solorio Campos asked the licensee if there were any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. The licensee stated she does not have any of the above and LPA did not observe any. The licensee was informed that if any poisons (ex; drano, rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock and firearm and ammunition must be stored separately.

At time of inspection, LPA Solorio Campos observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the hallway and the valve on the green area indicating fully charged and purchased on 3/27/24. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm located in the hallway. LPA tested the carbon monoxide and smoke alarm and were heard to be operable. LPA observed the first aid kit in the front entryway to be complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes and scissors. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilizes bedroom #2 with supervision. LPA observed the last emergency drill conducted on 2/13/24.

LPA observed the back yard that is utilized by the children for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. LPA observed the back yard to be fully fenced and with adequate shade. LPA Solorio Campos observed the play equipment to be age appropriate free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. LPA observed a small play structure that was age appropriate with a surface that can absorb a fall. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained free of hazards. For outdoor water drinking, licensee provides water.

LPA Solorio Campos observed licensee’s Red Cross Pediatric First Aid/ CPR certification and expires 12/25 and licensee has proof of immunization against Pertussis, MMR, and Influenza declination. Licensee has completed the Child Abuse Mandated Reporter (AB 1207) training and expires 1/11/26. Licensee was advised that the mandated reporter training must be completed every 2 years, and is available at www.mandatedreporterca.com

LPA Solorio Campos observed the following required postings in the entry way of the facility; License, LIC 9148 Earthquake Preparedness Checklist, LIC 610A Emergency Disaster Plan, Pub 394 Notification of Parents Rights, and LIC 999 Facility sketch. LPA also reviewed children’s roster, children files including sleep logs. LPA observed the files to be complete.

Family Child Care Homes Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Homes LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee Edith discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Family Child Care Homes Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the licensee confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA’s completed the RSO profile in FAS.

At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today.



A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
