32 | At 9:20am, cribs and napping equipment were observed in the infant program. LPA observed portable cribs that meet Consumer Product Safety Commission safety standards. Mattresses have an appropriate size mattress with a fitted sheet. Crib was observed to be free of loose items.Sleeping area is physically separated and cribs do not limit staff’s ability to supervise infants at all times. Per facility representative, bedding is changed daily and as needed. Sufficient individual storage space for children was observed and each child has a cubby. First Aid supplies are available and complete. Drinking water was readily available indoors.
LPA observed a bathroom in the infant and toddler classroom with one sink and one toilet in each bathroom. LPA observed the diaper changing table to be at least one inch thick, with raised sides of at least 3-inches, and within arm’s reach of the sink.
This facility provides breakfast and snacks for infants that are able to eat solid foods and parents provide formula and baby food for the infants in care. Licensing staff observe a refrigerator in the infant room that is not currently being utilized. Bottles and formula are stored in the cubicle in the classroom. Reminded staff food items must be labeled with child’s name. This facility has a kitchen where snacks and breakfast items are stored and there is extra food available for infants if needed. The kitchen was inspected for safety and cleanliness.
Licensing staff observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible to children. Classroom furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All floors are clean and safe. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents.
Licensing staff observed the valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 10/29/2025, as indicated on service tag. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detector that meets statutory requirements. Director states there are no weapons, firearms, or bodies of water on the premises.
At this time, the far end of the crib area is used as an isolation area, there is a crib available for an ill child to rest, and the area is sanitized after use.
OUTDOORS: At 9:30am, licensing staff inspected the outdoor play area. Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards.
