Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced random inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with Assistant Director Sylvia Cruz. This school age program consists of 2 classrooms. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7AM-6PM. During the school year children do not arrive to the facility until around 2:30PM.

All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. The following was observed during tour of facility:

SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAM (in addition to above general compliance)


The facility is in compliance with the school-age sign/out procedures (101529.1) and is in compliance with staff-child ratios (101516.5). A teacher shall supervise no more than 14 children or with an aide a maximum of 28 children.

PHYSICAL PLANT. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were observed to be inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets, and hand washing sinks are safe, sanitary and are operating properly. All floors are clean and safe. The school age have their own outdoor play yard, located in front of their class rooms. Water jugs with disposable cups or labeled bottles will be used for children while outdoors. LPA observed age appropriate outdoor toys and play equipment to be clean safe and in good repair, as well as adequate shade is available. All areas around play equipment and slides are cushioned with material to absorb a fall. This program provides AM and PM snack and lunch if the child is in care for the full day, if after school only then PM snack will be provided. A monthly snack/food menu is available and posted. All kitchen areas/food preparation areas and food storage areas were observed to be clean and are free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS): This facility does provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
