On 10/08/2024 at 10:15 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Crystal Green conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. LPA met with Licensee Representative Catherine Zeno. This facility is currently licensed as a preschool program with a capacity of 42 children serving ages 2 until entry into first grade in classrooms A and B. The Licensee, Blossom Montessori, has requested to increase their existing preschool capacity to 45 children serving ages 2 to 6 years old in classrooms A and B. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm.

Present during today’s inspection were 36 children with 8 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Licensee Representative that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility and inspect the indoor classrooms. Total indoor activity space measured 1,878.94 square footage, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested increase of capacity. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via filtered water dispenser and child’s personal water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 9/10/2024.

LPA observed a total of 4 sinks and 4 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 45 children.
