Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with Assistant Director Stephanie Rodrigues who provided a tour of the facility. This infant program consists of 1 classroom and is open Monday-Friday 7AM-6PM.

LPA Lee inspected the infant classroom and observed age appropriate equipment, toys, and furniture. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. LPA observed a separate napping area with cribs in the infant classroom. Changing table was observed to be within arms length of the sink. During the inspection LPA Lee discussed safe sleeping practices with the Director. LPA reviewed SIDs, Never Shake A Baby, and safe sleeping practices. Infants should sleep mouth up, on their backs, free of clutter surrounding their sleeping space.

The outdoor space for the infant program was inspected for age appropriate equipment, cushioning, and to be hazard free. The infant program's outside play area is located in the rear of the facility and was observed to be separated from the outdoor space used by the preschool program. The kitchen was inspected by LPA Lee. Trash can with tight fitting lid was observed. Two snacks are provided by the facility and served to infants who are old enough to consume the snacks. All preparation areas were observed to be clean and in order. There is sufficient storage and cabinet space for supplies. A facility menu was observed to be posted on the refrigerator, in the classrooms, and in the posting area of the hallway. The facility serves AM snack and PM snack.
