Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with Director Irene Kim. This facility is a preschool program serving 40 children ages two until entry into the first grade. This facility consists of 3 classrooms. The facility operates Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. Teacher-child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 regulations. The Licensee is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Staff names were recorded. Criminal Record Clearances were reviewed. During this inspection, all children were observed to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times.

LPA observed the facility to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Furniture and equipment was inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All surfaces and materials accessible to children, including toys, are toxic free. All toilets are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All classroom floors were observed to be safe and clean. LPA observed in the classrooms, toys to be age appropriate clean and safe. Age appropriate furniture and equipment were also inspected to be in good condition. Napping equipment (cots) were inspected and observed to be in good condition.

Preschool children have a bathroom located right outside the 3 class rooms with 3 toilet and 3 sinks. All are in good condition, water temperature, paper towels, hand soap, toilet paper were observed and everything was inspected for safety and sanitation. A pull down wall changing table is available and located across from a sink.

Records for children in care and facility staff were reviewed during this inspection.

There is a fully equipped first aid kit available in each class room containing all the required supplies. The facility has central cooling and Heating, lighting and ventilation which were all evaluated by the LPA.

Facility provides Breakfast, Lunch and PM snack. The kitchen is located next to the directors office where the cook will prepare the food each day. Menus were observed on the parent board and in the kitchen. Food preparation area will be in the kitchen, where a refrigerator and cold drinks and food items will be located. The kitchen was inspected for safety and cleanliness. Containers used to discard food have tight fitting lids. Facility has extra linen and food available if needed.

The outside play yard was observed to be self-contained by a gate around it for separation from other areas located in this entire gated facility. Child's own labeled water bottle will be used for children while outdoors. LPA observed age appropriate outdoor toys and play equipment to be clean, safe and in good repair, as well as adequate shade is available by material sails. All areas around and under play equipment and slides are cushioned with material to absorb a fall.

he ill/isolation area is located in the Directors office. The ill child will use the staff rest room located right next door to the Directors office. The isolation area has a cot available for rest.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. No deficiencies were cited during this inspection.

The notice of site inspection must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours of operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars.
