32 | Complaint alleged :Licensee does not allow representatives of day care children to enter and inspect the facility.
Parents interviewed stated that the provider never refused entrance to the facility. The licensee and assistant stated that drop-off and pick-up occur at the gate, but parents are allowed to enter the facility at any time, and no one has been denied entry. Parent’s interviewed, both former and current, stated that the licensee is caring and welcoming. Per licensee and assistant, they understand parent’s rights.
Complaint alleged Licensee did not provide adequate supervision, resulting in a day care child sustaining injury.
During the interview with parents no disclosures were made regarding children sustaining injuries while in day care. During the tour, LPA observed sail canopy providing shade on the slide. LPA observed plastic toy cars stored on side yard in front of the main entrance gate . Per licensee, when it is too hot outside, children stay inside, and more indoor activities are provided. Licensee stated sometimes toys stored in the garage or covered to keep clean and from getting hot. Per licensee, children always under supervision when play outside and all the toys are checked for safety.
Upon reviewing the licensee's current roster, it was found that child#1 was not enrolled at the day-care on the date of the reported incident that allegedly caused injury to child #1.
Based on LPA`s observations, interviews, and records review, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. No citations issued at this time .
