32 | Licensee guided analyst on a tour of the facility at 8:30 am. During this visit, all areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were toured and inspected. The following was observed:
Facility License, Parent’s Rights Poster, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist were observed to be posted in the entry way of the home. A current children’s roster was available for review.
The facility has telephone service via a cellphone. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 12:00 am - 6:00 am and 6:30 pm - 11:59 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 am - 7:30 am and 8:00 am - 11:59 pm. There are forced cooling and heating units above the windows in the home. Licensee states there are no fireplace, pets, or bodies of water at the facility, and none were observed by LPA on this day.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications were observed to be inaccessible to children. Poisons in the home are locked in a locked cabinet under the water heater. LPA advised that any poisons should be locked under key or combination lock. Licensee states that there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home, and none were observed on this day
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was purchased on 1/4/24, as indicated on the receipt. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and were operable on this day.
All homes shall conduct fire and disaster drills at least once every six months and document the date and time of each drill. Last drill documented was conducted on 12/2/23.
