25 | On January 30, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Monique Ayala and Jessica Hopkins-Hernandez conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPAs were greeted by licensee assistant, Lita Carigo who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. Licensee arrived shortly after. LPA observed 4 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5:30PM.
Licensee requested a capacity increase from 8 children to 14 on 11/20/2023. The fire clearance for 14 children was granted on 12/21/2023. Capacity Increase will be granted, pending final file review.
This is a single-story back house house with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, detached storage shed that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, kitchen and completely fenced rear yard.
Parents and children enter the facility through the driveway that leads to the back house. The day care takes place in living room, bedroom, bathroom and fenced in rear yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Children/infants nap in playpens/cots and the napping area is in the living room and bedroom.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPAs observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms/weapons on the premises, LPAs did not observe any firearms/weapons.
