25 | On March 5, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee assistant, Irene Pinzon who guided LPA on a tour of the facility, per assistant the licensee just left to run an errand. Licensee arrived at 11:30AM and stated he was picking up his truck. LPA observed 9 children with 3 staff members, per assistant there are 10 children enrolled. The facility operates Monday to Friday 8AM to 5:30PM. LPA observed a small dog in the facility, per assistant Irene the dog belongs to the front neighbor. LPA informed assistant that if the dog is not the licensee's dog and does not reside in the licensed home, the dog needs to remain at it's permit residence. Dog was taken to the front house.
This is a single-story back house house with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, detached storage shed that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, kitchen and completely fenced rear yard.
Parents and children enter the facility through the driveway that leads to the back house. The day care takes place in living room, bedroom, bathroom and fenced in rear yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Children/infants nap in playpens/cots and the napping area is in the living room and bedroom.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPAs observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
