32 | At 9:00 a.m., the applicant began touring LPA’s through the home starting with the entry way which lead directly to the living room (daycare area). The living room was inspected and electrical outlets were observed to be covered. LPA observed children tables, chairs, toys, and a TV in living room. Per applicant children will play, eat and nap in the living room (main daycare area). Next LPA toured the daycare bathroom in the hallway and did not observe any hazards. Next LPA toured the off-limit one bathroom in the hallway and 3 bedrooms in the hallway and did not observe any hazards. LPA observed applicant's family members personal belongings in the home during this inspection. Per applicant, off-limit areas doors will be kept closed all the times. Next LPA toured the off-limit kitchen and observed a sofa, a dining table and chairs in the kitchen. There are two doors in the kitchen, one door leads to the living room and one door leads to the hallway of bedrooms. Per applicant, both kitchen doors will be kept closed during dayare hours. Per applicant, there no poisons are kept in the apartment. LPA observed the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher was anchored to the wall in the living room. It was purchased on 08/04/2022 as read by LPA from the receipt. Applicant tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the living room. Both sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children. There is a first aid kit available in the home, in the kitchen in a cabinet.
Next LPA toured the sideyard fenced. Per applicant, children will use the side yard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the outdoor yard. The outdoor playarea ground is artificial grass. There are two gates in the side yard, one gate leads to the Glendale Avenue and one gate leads to the back alley. Per applicant, parents will enter the side yard by the gate which leads to the back alley. Per applicant, she will not use the gate which leads to the Glendale Avenue for commute. The applicant states that supervision is always provided. Next LPA toured the off-limit garage and did not observe any hazards.
The applicant states that they will provide food for children in care. Applicant was advised that if food is brought from the children’s homes, all containers must be labeled with child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. Per applicant, at 10:00 am, there are no pets, weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises. There are toys available for children. There is not telephone service available in the home during this inspection. LPA advised applicant that if a child shows signs of illness he/she/they shall be separated from other children. Per applicant no one smokes in the home.
