32 | was toured through the interior starting with the living room (daycare classroom), LPA observed children's table, chairs, and toys in the living room. LPA observed 11 children were present in the home with licensee and her two staff. LPA observed all electrical outlets were covered in living room and dining room. There is a fireplace in the living room which has been blocked off to prevent access. Next LPA toured the one bathroom in the hallway and observed accessible personal hygiene and cleaning compounds in the bathroom. Per licensee, children mainly use the potty chair in the daycare room. Next LPA toured the off-limit kitchen, three bedrooms and one off-limit bathroom and did not observe any hazards. During this inspection LPA observed off-limit areas doors were closed during this inspection. LPA observed in the last bedroom there is a door which leads to the backyard and there is door which leads to the garage and back alley. LPA observed licensee's family members personal belongings in the home. LPA observed the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher was anchored to the wall in the living room (daycare room). It was purchased on 09/13/24 as read by LPA from the receipt. Licensee tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the kitchen. It sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be accessible to children in the children bathroom.
During this inspection at 12:35 PM LPA observed children were getting ready to take nap in the living room, while staff were assisting children to change, LPA observed a potty chair was placed in the corner of living room and children peed in the living room. LPA observed three children peed back to back on potty chair and they did not wash hands afterwards.
Next LPA toured the sideyard fenced. Currently, children are using the side yard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the outdoor yard. The licensee states that supervision is always provided.
Per licensee, she provides food for children in care. Licensee was advised that if food is brought from the children’s homes, all containers must be labeled with child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. Per Licensee, at 1:10 p.m. there are no pets, weapons, firearms, pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water on the premises.
