32 | Based on staff #1 interview, they have had bouncers in the Hive infant classroom (0-12 months old) because they did not know it is not allowed. Per staff#1, infants did not sleep on the bouncers.
Based on LPA Eivazian observation on 05/01/23, LPA observed two bouncers in Hive infant classroom (0-12 months old). LPA observed one infant was on the bouncer and playing. LPA also observe a bouncer on the outdoor playarea.
Based on LPA observations and interviews which were conducted, the preponderance of evidence standard has been meet, therefore the above allegations are found to be Substantiated at this time. California Code of Regulations--101439(d)(2), Infant Care Center Fixture, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies: A baby walker shall not be allowed on the premises of a child care center in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 1596.846. This also includes baby bouncers. and 101223 (a) (2)--Personal Rights: To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs, are being cited on the attached LIC9099D.
LPA Anomeh Eivazian informed director, Lauren Friedman that this report dated 05/01/2023 document(s) 2 of Type A citations. Type A citations which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there are immediate risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
Also, LPA Anomeh Eivazian informed the director, Lauren Friedman to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 05/01/2023 that documents 2 Type A citations to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
