32 | Each classroom has their individual outside play areas. LPA Perry entered and inspected all outdoor play areas that the children use. LPA Perry observed the equipment to be in a safe condition, free of sharp, no lose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. LPA Perry observed play structure equipment to be age appropriate for ages 2-5 years and areas around or under high climbing equipment, are cushioned with granulated rubber mat that may absorb a fall. For adequate shade, LPA observed shade structure via canopies with lots of trees to provide shade. LPA observed the playground yard to be fenced. LPA observed trash bins with tight lids. For the Preschool classroom the outdoor water drinking, staff bring out water jugs and disposable cups. The other play yards had a drinking fountain.
This program provides a.m. snack, lunch and p.m. snack. Meals and snacks are prepared onsite. LPA Perry informed Director Maria Avalia and Co-Director Evelin Hernandez that any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. Per Director Maria Avalia and Co-Director Evelin Hernandez they use the CACFP food program. For water drinking, LPA Perry observed bottled water in cups in the classroom. For children under 1 years of age they place water in a sippy cup. LPA observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including movable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents.

LPA Perry reviewed the children’s roster, children’s files and staff files and observed the files to be complete.
LPA Perry observed Director Maria Avalia Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification from American Heart Association which will expire on 9/3/25 and for Co-Director Evelin Hernandez it will expire on 10/14/25. Preventative Health and Safety with nutrition and lead component for Director is dated 3/11/20 and for Co-Director its dated 8/27/21. Proof of immunization against Pertussis, MMR and Influenza declination were observed to be in both Director and Co-Directors file. Director has completed the mandated reporter (AB 1207) training which will expire on 1/26/26 and Co-Director will expire on 1/16/26. Director and Co-Director were advised that the mandated reporter training must be completed every 2 years, and is available at www.mandatedreporterca.com
