This program provides breakfast, lunch and p.m. snack. Meals and snacks are prepared onsite. LPA Perry informed Director Evelin Hernandez that any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. Per Director Evelin Hernandez they use the CACFP food program. For water drinking, LPA Perry observed bottled water in cups in the classroom. For children under 1 years of age they place water in a cup. LPA observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including movable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents.
Director Evelin Hernandez stated currently has no children with medication or severe food allergies. LPA Perry asked if there were any poisons, firearms, weapons or bodies of water. Director Evelin Hernandez stated no firearms, weapons, no poisons nor bodies of water. LPA did not observe firearms or weapons, poisons, nor bodies of water. Director stated the ill isolation area takes place in the director’s office and children utilize the staff restroom. Lead testing was completed today July 12, 2024. Per Director Evelin Hernandez building is brand new and built in 2020 and completed on May 30, 2023. Lead results were observed to be posted.
Each classroom has their individual outside play areas. LPA Perry entered and inspected all outdoor play areas that the children use. LPA Perry observed the equipment to be in a safe condition, free of sharp, no lose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. LPA Perry observed play structure equipment to be age appropriate for ages 2-5 years and areas around or under high climbing equipment, are cushioned with granulated rubber mat that may absorb a fall. For adequate shade, LPA observed shade structure via canopies with lots of trees to provide shade. LPA observed the playground yard to be fenced. LPA observed trash bins with tight lids. For the Preschool classroom the outdoor water drinking, staff bring out water jugs and disposable cups. The other play yards had a drinking fountain.
The Young Preschool and Preschool classrooms share restrooms. LPA observed restrooms and the restrooms are located between both classrooms. LPA Perry observed the restrooms to be in good condition with working toilets, sinks, hand soap dispenser and paper towels. LPA observed a total of 3 toilets and 3 hand washing sinks. In the Older Preschool classroom LPA observed 3 toilets and 3 hand washing sinks.
