25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection today. LPA met with co-applicant Macario Marquez who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. This pending large family child care home application is a change of location application with the previous facility number being 198019654. Family members residing in the home are both cleared applicants. Per applicant operating hours will be Monday-Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm. Applicant states they will care for children 0-6 years old.
This large child care home resides in a 1 story home that consists of a total of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and backyard. Care will be provided in the Living room, 1 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and parts of the backyard. Off limits area will include parts of the backyard including the detached garage, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and kitchen.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. Per applicants there are no firearms or pets in the home.
Applicants CPR and first aide expires 08/2023. LPA observed a operational smoke and carbon monoxide detector located in the living room that will be used for the day care. Fire extinguisher is located near the front entrance with a service tag date of 03/03/2023
LPA reviewed Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome, and safe sleep practices with applicant. *Infants should always sleep on their backs, mouths facing up, light bedding.* |
