Areas off limits based on facility sketch submitted to children and parents include: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms in the two bedrooms, laundry room, kitchen, detached guests house in the backyard, detached storage in the backyard, front yard, and back of backyard (pool area).
**Rooms that are off-limits need to be made inaccessible during operating hours**
Per applicant, children will use the front part of back yard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the outdoor yard. Per applicant, pool area is off-limit and inaccessible to the children. The applicant states that supervision is always provided.
At 9:00 am, the applicant began touring LPA’s through the home starting with the entry way which lead directly to the living room. The living room was inspected and electrical outlets were observed to be covered. There is a fireplace in the living room which has been blocked off to prevent access. LPA observed a moveable gate was placed in the living room to make the living room inaccessible to the children. Next to the living room, the dining room and daycare playarea was inspected, LPA observed a dining table, chairs, children toys, children tables and chairs in the dining room. Next to the dining room, the kitchen was inspected, and LPA observed a child safety gate was installed to the kitchen to make the kitchen inaccessible to the children. Next LPA toured the one daycare bathroom in the hallway and did not observe any hazards. Next LPA toured the two off-limit master bedrooms and two off-limit bathrooms in bedrooms and off-limit laundry room and did not observe any hazards. Per applicant, she will keep off-limit areas doors closed all the times during daycare hours. LPA observed the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher was anchored to the wall in the kitchen. It was purchased on 10/30/22 as read by LPA from the receipt. Applicant tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the dining room. It sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children.
Next LPA toured the backyard fenced. LPA toured the detached storage in the backyard. Per applicant, she will keep the storage door locked all the times. Next LPA toured the detached guests house in the backyard. Per applicant, currently it is rented out to a tenant. LPA toured the detached guests house in the back which consists of a bedroom, one bathroom, living room and kitchen and did not observed any hazards.
