25 | On 1/31/25 at 4:00pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA)'s Stephanie Li and Kamile Martin conducted a case management visit to follow up on an incident reported to the department on 1/27/25 regarding an incident that occurred that day.
Incident reported was regarding an upset new parent who dis-enrolled child after the first day. Parent accused teacher of smelling like alcohol and demanded to withdraw child. Facility stated disenrollment policy, parent got upset and threatened facility with lawyers and began yelling at Assistant director. Assistant director relayed information to director and owner to handle. Owner gave full refund and reported incident to CDSS.
LPA interviewed assistant director. Accused teacher is currently on vacation and was not able to interview. Teacher that was accused has a medical condition that restricts her from drinking alcohol. Owner contacted parents and provided a full refund of fees. LPA's obtained email records from director and parent, invoice clearing balance, and copy of medical record of diagnosis was requested.
No Follow up is needed. Medical record was provided to LPA during visit.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative.
Exit interview conducted, report was reviewed, and appeal rights were given to Assistant Director Reina Aleman. |
