Licensing staff observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible to children. Classroom furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All floors are clean and safe. Napping equipment (mats/cots) and bedding were inspected for good condition, appropriate storage, and cleanliness, located in each classroom. Facility washes linen weekly for preschool program. Storage for children's belongings were inspected. All toilets and washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. LPA observed the preschool classrooms have a bathroom with 1 toilet and 1 sink to accommodate for the number of children enrolled. LPA observed cribs and napping equipment were observed in the infant program. LPA observed portable cribs that meet Consumer Product Safety Commission safety standards. Mattresses have an appropriate size mattress with a fitted sheet. Cribs were observed to be free of loose items. Sleeping area is physically separated. Per director staff remains in the area to physically supervise infants while they nap. Facility washes bedding, and changes sheets daily. LPA observed the changing diaper table to be at least one inch thick, and within arm’s reach of the sink. This facility has a kitchen, Licensing staff observed a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The kitchen preparation area and floors were observed to be clean. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents. LPA observed individually stored food and bottles for the children in care labeled with children’s names. A list of children with food allergies was observed in the kitchen. This facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks.
First Aid supplies are available and complete. Drinking water was readily available in each classroom. LPA observed water pitchers and paper cups and sports bottles with children’s names that are brought from home. At this time, the office is used as an isolation area, there is a cot available for an ill child to rest and the first restroom closest to office will be used if needed.
