25 | On 12/23/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kruz Long conducted an announced Pre-licensing Inspection. LPA met with applicant Susan Garcia who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Application is for a large family child care home. Fire safety clearance was granted on 12/16/25.
LPA observed 2 Caregivers and 3 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
This is a single-story house which contains a living room, dining area, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a family room. There is a back house which is a rental unit.
The day care takes place in the living room, dining room, 1 bathroom, family room and rear yard.
Per Licensee, there are 3 adults and 4 children living in the home (Licensee, husband, mother and 4 minor children). The back house resides 2 adults. All adults on the premises have criminal record clearance. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working cellular telephones. There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Barricades between off limit areas and care areas were observed. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 10/11/27. Mandated Reporter Training Cert. expires 11/07/27.
Pool in the rear yard is surrounded by fences at least five feet high and does not obscure the pool from view. Gate swings away from the pool and self-closes. LPA observed life ring, body hook, alarm and daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas are fenced.
