32 | In the living room LPA observed several age-appropriate toys along with a playhouse. Napping equipment in the form of cots were also observed in the living room area. Bedding was observed to be clean, orderly, and stored properly. Per licensee, bedding is washed at the facility every week. In the dining area, LPA observed tables and chairs for children in care as well as 2 cribs and refrigerator. The 2 cribs did meet Consumer Product Safety Commission safety standards. Cribs have an appropriate size mattress with fitted sheets. Cribs were observed to be free of loose items. In the refrigerator LPA observed food and water for the daycare children. LPA observed a child safety gate between the kitchen and the dining room area, making the kitchen inaccessible to children in care. LPA then observed the half bathroom that is in the hallway under the staircase. The bathroom was observed to be clean and orderly. There were no hazardous items or materials that can pose a danger to children in care in the bathroom. LPA was then guided towards the back patio where LPA observed several age-appropriate toys for children in care. LPA also observed that the licensee placed a child safety gate at the edge of the back patio, making it inaccessible to surrounding neighbors. LPA reminded the licensee, that 100% supervision of the children must be given while the children use the back patio. All areas were observed to be clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
There are first aid supplies available. Per licensee, the facility provides all meals for children in care. LPA reminded licensee, food brought from home must be labeled with the child’s name, stored properly and or refrigerated.
If a child becomes ill, the child is isolated in the dining area while the parents are being called. A cot is available if needed.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
LPA observed a functioning smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the dining room. LPA observed a 2A-10BC fire extinguisher. The valve on the fire extinguisher was pointing to the fully charged green section and was serviced on 04/06/2024. There is a working telephone on site. Licensee provided documentation of last Emergency Disaster Drill, which was conducted on 2/18/2025.
Per the licensee, there are no bodies of water on the premises. Licensee does obtain a current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification which expires on 3/30/2026
