25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes, conducted an unannounced case management site Inspection, to inspect and measure the requested increase in capacity of the preschool program from 24 to 30 and the infant program capacity from 12 to 16. This inspection is also to ensure the health and safety standards as required by the regulations governing child care centers are met. LPA met with Sara Orduno, Director, who took LPA on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors. The facility preschool and infant program days & hours are Monday-Friday 630 AM-6 PM.
This facility previously had a pre-licensing inspected on 12/30/2024 where measurements were taken indoors and out. During this inspection LPA Reyes observed the facility to still be in compliance as the last inspection and reviewed the facility sketch and compared that the facility still matches the last inspection. All information documented on the pre-licensing report dated 12/30/2024 is exactly the same.
The total infant indoor activity space measured was 745.54 square footage, which is sufficient to accommodate the new requested overall capacity of 15 children. LPA observed 2 sinks and 1 toilet located within the infant classroom. The total preschool indoor activity space measured was 1139.57 square footage, which is sufficient to accommodate the new requested overall capacity of 30 children. LPA observed a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets available to the preschool children. Updated application received on this date to reflect 15 infants and not 16.
The measurements of the designated infant outdoor area which calculated to be 2,389.94 square footage, which can accommodate the requested infant capacity of 15. The preschool outdoor area calculated to be 7,700.00 square footage, which can accommodate the requested preschool capacity of 30.
No corrections are needed and the facility is approved for the requested increase in capacity of 15 infants and 30 preschool children. New Fire clearance was granted on 02/28/2025 by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Sara Orduno. A notice of site visit was given to facility representative and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. |
