32 | Per Executive Director C.Keately interview informing LPA Calderon children combine into large groups and small groups throughout the day and the maximum group capacity size is 12 children and ratio does not exceed 1:14. Per Center Director informed LPA the ratio is no more than 1:12 and the classroom's two's have a ratio of 1:7. Based on teacher interviews with Teachers #1 - Teachers #4 (T1- T4) informed LPA there is no issues with ratio at the facility, no information was obtained to support the above allegation. Executive Director C.Keately and T2 - T4 informed LPA during interview facility has staff present to support when needing additional assistant to cover ratio. LPA Calderon attempted to obtain documentation reflecting teacher- child ratio; however according to Executive Director C.Keately, documentation showing corresponding child count alongside the number of teachers present at a given time was unavailable at this time do to the programs functions.
There was no evidence obtained to support the allegation staff are operating out of ratio, therefore this allegation is unsubstantiated. Due to investigation observations, interviews conducted by staff, parents and children, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
Per California Code of Regulation Title 22, no deficiencies cited.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and a copy of the report were provided to Center Director Brenda Salguero. |
