32 | Based on LPA White's observation the following areas have not changed since the annual inspection conducted 8/7/2024. LPA entered the back gate of the home that leads to the main care area of the facility that has a separate entrance from the front of the home Upon entry of the main care area which is Bedroom #3, there are cubbies located to the left of the entrance in a large closet space. LPA White observed individual storage containers for the day care children's belongings and blankets. There are supplies for the children activities such as, puzzle cushions, and crayons store on top of the cubbie space. LPA observed napping cots and overhead car seats are strategically placed. Licensee states that the car seats will be moved to the detached garage, because she will no longer offer transportation. In the main care area there are two round tables with chairs for the children to sit
Kitchen is off-limits to children in care and made inaccessible by the use of a baby gate. Licensee states she will provide food to children in care but will also allow children to bring food from home. Licensee states she has children who bring their own milk, and she places their names on their items, and places it in the refrigerator. She returns it to the parent at the end of the day. Licensee states children will use Day Care Room (Living Room) for eating.
LPA observed Bathroom #2 to have operable toilet and sink, general area safety and sanitation, and adequate supplies at time of inspection. The Licensee was advised that any poisons such as detergents, cleaning compounds, and medicines must be made inaccessible or stored somewhere with a key or combination lock. Licensee states that cleaning solutions and detergents are located in a cabinet in an off limits space at the rear of the home. The Licensee was advised that inaccessibility of hazards must be constantly reassessed depending on the age of children in care.
Per Licensee, the children will use the backyard for outdoor play. LPA observed backyard has adequate perimeter fencing through-out the yard. LPA observed backyard to have playhouse, orange tree, and a large tent providing ample shade to children in care. Licensee states she will have full supervision when children are outside. Licensee has a chalked trail for children to play with cars and trucks around the age appropriate bench /table, and play area. Licensee added artificial grass turf to ensure a soft landing for children during play time. LPA observed the play area to be free of hazardous items, and amply space for the capacity increase of 14 children to the facility.
