25 | About 8:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. Tran arrived at the above licensed childcare home to conduct an Annual Required in addition to capacity increase visit. LPA obtained the Fire clearance was granted for a large capacity. About 8:35AM, LPA met with Antonia Jimenez, Licensee, licensee's adult son, and her employee with four children in care. About 9:00AM we toured the home inside and outside. LPA observed proper care and supervision.
The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6:00AM- 5:00PM. Licensee has the required documents posted in the FCCH; Facility License (LIC 203), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610a), Notification of Parents' Rights Poster (PUB 394), Child Care Facility Roster (LIC9040). LPA also observed Licensee's current Pediatric CPR (Adult/Infant /Child) and Pediatric First Aid certifications (expire 06/2024).
This is a single story dwelling with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main childcare area is in the living room and one bedroom by the living room is also converted into a daycare area. Children do have access to the family room/kitchen area. Kitchen area observed to have no sharp object or chemical compounds accessible to children in care. LPA observed kitchen cabinets has safety latched. LPA observed the backyard have chickens and a dog. Children do not have access to the two bedrooms, the enclosed backyard, and the detached garage. Children outdoor play located a the front of the home fully gated. There are no bodies of water on the premises.
Licensee stated there are no firearms or weapons in the home. The home was found to be clean and orderly with proper ventilation for safety and comfort. The Fire Extinguisher (2A-10-BC) is mounted on the wall in the kitchen inaccessible to children in care. There is a working smoke/carbon detector located at the daycare area. The home conducted emergency disaster drill quarterly. Children’s records were reviewed and completed.
