32 | Per Licensee Children do not have access to the enclosed backyard, two bedrooms, or the detached garage. Children outdoor play area is located in the front of the home and is fully gated. LPAs observed the front yard area to be clean, have no sharp edges and contain age appropriate toys. There are no bodies of water on the premises.
Licensee stated there are no firearms or weapons in the home. The home was found to be clean and orderly with proper ventilation for safety and comfort. LPAs observed a wall heater in the on limits dining area to be properly barricaded and inaccessible to children in care. The Fire Extinguisher (2A-10-BC) is mounted on the daycare living room wall with a purchase receipt dated 6/16/23. Licensee was reminded that fire extinguishers need to be serviced or purchased yearly. There is a working smoke/carbon detector located at the daycare area.
Children’s records were reviewed and observed to be complete.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
