25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Randy Derraco conducted an unannounced case management visit to the above mentioned address on 09/08/23 at 9:30 AM. LPA met with licensee, who guided LPA on a tour of the home. LPA observed 4 adults and 6 children present during inspection. Adult S5 was observed to arrive at the facility at 10:30 AM. LPA observed that 4 of the children present are infants. LPA confirmed ages of infants during file review. LPA advised licensee that a citation under California Code of Regulation section 102416.5(b)(2) will be issued. Individuals residing in the home have been noted and discussed. The applicant is requesting capacity increase to their family childcare home license. Per licensee, operation hours will be Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Applicant states that they will care for children 0 to 12 years old.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a one story home that consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, a detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, front yard, detached garage, and part of the backyard area.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed a wall mounted television, wooden cubby locker for children's personal belongings, a ceiling fan, 3 Cosco play pens, a children's rug, a window mounted air conditioning unit, a couch, age appropriate toys, child sized table and child sized chairs. Emergency Disaster Plan, Facility License, and Parents rights poster was observed to be posted next to the front door of the main care area. A tension gate was observed at the entrance of the hallway leading to the bathroom designated for children in care. The bathroom was observed to have an operable sink, toilet and faucet. The dining area was observed with a dining table and chairs. Another tension gate was observed at the entrance of the off-limits kitchen. Per licensee, she provides food for children in care. Licensee understands that any food brought from the children’s homes shall be labeled with child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. The bedroom designated for children use was observed with a Cosco playpen, children's rug, sleeping cots, and additional age appropriate toys. The outdoor play area was observed to
