25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 03/18/2025. LPA arrived at the facility at 11:45AM, identified self, and met with Sandy McGlothan, licensee, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA provided Licensee with a copy of the LIC 126 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. Per Licensee, they currently have one assistant. LPA observed 5 children upon arrival. There are 8 children that are currently enrolled. A current LIC9040 children’s roster was available for review. Per Licensee, operation hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, lower-level activity room, detached activity room in back yard (converted/ detached garage), front yard and backyard (fenced). The children enter the daycare from the left side of the home. The children use the bathroom in the hallway near kitchen. The restroom that children use was observed to be safe and sanitary. The children have activities in the lower-level activity room by kitchen. The children use the kitchen area for meals and outside area. The converted garage is used for activities. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: The backyard is off-limits and inaccessible to children. LPA did not observe any pools, , fishponds, or similar bodies of water during the inspection. LPA observed an empty hot tub in the off-limit area of the backyard which is inaccessible to children. The area in front the converted garage is used for outdoor play. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the outdoor yard. LPA did not observe any infant walkers, baby bouncers, inclined chairs, baby saucers, or any similar items at the facility. Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. The licensee provides food for children in care. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home. Per licensee, there are no pets on the premises. There is telephone service via cellphone and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating via fans and installed air conditioner. |
