32 | Heating lighting and ventilation were evaluated by LPA. LPA observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling wall. LPA observed the thermostat located in the hallway and the current room temperature to be at 80 degrees LPA observed the fire extinguisher located inside the classrooms and kitchen and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher indicating fully charged and serviced on 7/16/2021. Smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire alarm are located in classroom on the top ceiling and connected to the fire alarm.
At approximately 11:30 AM LPA Rivera entered the outdoor playground to conduct an inspection and measurements. LPA observed the equipment to be in safe condition, free of sharp, no loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. The shade sail provides adequate shade in the play yard. LPA observed water pitcher and children individual water bottles. LPA's advised applicant that the children need to be within the direct care and supervision, including visual supervision of the teacher(s) at all times. LPA did not observe bodies of water on the premises.
Director Donna Belvin has proof of pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (expires 08/04/ 2023), immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles, mandated reporter (AB 1207) training dated 11/23/2021. The preventative health and safety training with the Lead Component is currently in the works and will be completed on 2/9/22.
LPA Rivera and Administrator Elma Reynolds discussed Covid procedures. Temperature checks are conducted prior to entering the facility, children wash their hands during drop off, during transitions, after using restroom and before and after lunch, Health checks are conducted daily during drop off, if any symptoms related to Covid child is not allowed to stay and if a fever over 100.4 child is not allowed to come in to the center and a Covid test is required. If child is exposed, child will need to quarantine for 5 days.
Items discussed during this visit:
1. The following items are prohibited by Licensing: Refused Entry to a Facility or Any Part of a Facility is a violation of Section 1596.852, 1596.853 or 1597.09. Regulations 101238 (g) (2), The Presence of an Excluded Individual, Fire Clearance Violations, Accessible Bodies of Water, Accessible Firearms, Ammunition or Both.
2. Breakfast/Lunch/Snack Menus: Menus are required to be posted one week in advance where it is visible by the child's authorized representative. Menus for the past 30 days must also be available upon request. |
