32 | LPA observed the front yard and LPA did observe bowl movements in the front play yard area and no children were observed playing in this area during time of visit. Licensee stated children do not go outside until the play areas they will use are cleared up, sanitized and free of any harm. Per Licensee interview on 12/3/24 Licensee informed LPA the facility has two dogs, one dog interacts with the children in care and the children primarily use the back yard as their play area and front yard if not being used. Staff #1 during interview on 12/3/24 informed LPA the elderly dog at the facility does not have bowel movements in the children’s play area. S1 stated it is rare when the elderly dog escapes to the backyard, S1 informed LPA if elderly dog was to pee there it is cleaned up by staff right away and staff makes sure play areas are in order, cleaned and not in danger for the children. (3) out of (3) parents interviewed informed LPA play areas used by the children are well maintained, cleaned and do not observe animal waste in areas.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
