25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted a pre-licensing inspection on April 11, 2022 at 9:30AM. LPA met with applicant Yesenia Gonzalez and Co-applicant Ma Rosalba Gonzalez, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. During the inspection individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted. The applicant is requesting a small family childcare home license. Per applicant, operation hours will be Monday to Friday, 6:00AM to 6:30PM. Applicant states that they will care for children 3 months to 13 years of age. Entrance Checklist was provided to the applicant upon arrival.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a one-story house. The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 1 ½ bath, dining room, living room, kitchen and detached garage. Off-limit areas include: Bedroom #1 and Bedroom #2, the hallway bathroom, kitchen, and the second half of backyard.
Per applicant, the children will use the restroom located in bedroom #3. Children will use the dining room, living room, and bedroom #3. Areas that will be used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service (cell phone), ventilation and heating via central heat and air. During the inspection, LPA advised that the cellphone must always remain at the facility. Applicant provided co-applicants cell number during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible in areas designated for children. The applicant states that there are no poisons on the premises. The applicant was advised that any poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock.
The applicant understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visits if necessary. |
