25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced case management visit to the above mentioned facility on 05/09/24. LPA arrived at the facility at 12:30 PM and was met by Director, Claudia Ceballos, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA observed a total of 19 infants in care and 6 adults. 11 infants were observed to be napping in room 2. The facility was observed to be clean and free of defects.
The purpose of this visit is to observe that the facility is providing care and supervision within California Code of Regulation (CCR) Title 22. At 12:45 PM LPA observed 11 napping children and 3 qualified infant teachers supervising them in room 2. Adequate space was observed between each sleeping mat to allow persons to walk without having to step over any napping children. At 12:56, Director was observed relieving 1 teacher for lunch. At 1:22 PM, LPA observed 1 teacher leaving for lunch. At 1:30 PM, 1 teacher was observed arriving back from lunch. 3 total teachers were observed supervising napping children from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. LPA observed children waking up from their nap, however teachers offered children to continued lying down on their mat. Children were still observed to be napping at 2:00 PM.
LPA did not observe the facility operating outside of infant to infant teacher ratio while napping. Room 1 was also observed to be in compliance with infant to infant teacher ratio. No citation will be issued today
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
