13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to the above mentioned facility on 05/09/24. LPA conducted the inspection at 2:00 PM and was met by Director, Claudia Ceballos, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 19 infants in care and 6 adults supervising the infants. LPA observed the facility to be clean and free of defects.
The purpose of this visit is to deliver complaint findings to the above mentioned allegation. During the course of the investigation, LPA conducted interviews, reviewed records, and made observations. Individuals interviewed state that lunch begins at 11:30 AM and the infants take approximately 30 minutes to eat. Sign language is used with the infants in order to communicate if addtional food is requested. If a child refuses to eat what is offered, either they save it for them or their parents bring additional food. Individuals interviewed state that food is taken away from children if they are squeezing or banging on their plate. No one interviewed expressed concerns with how children are treated or with how or what is provided for the children to eat by the facility.
