32 | Heating lighting and ventilation were evaluated by LPA Rivera. LPA observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling wall. LPA observed the thermostat located in the main office and the current room temperature to be at 74 degrees. LPA observed the fire extinguisher located inside the classroom and kitchen and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher indicating fully charged and serviced on 07/30/2021. At approximately 11:10 a.m., LPA Rivera tested the smoke/ carbon detector and heard the sound. The detector is located in the classroom on the top ceiling wall. The combo smoke/carbon detector is operable. LPA also observed the first aid kit and fully stocked.
LPA observed portable napping equipment (playpen and mats) to be stored in the classroom. For ill/isolation area children will utilize the director's office and a mat will be available for children to rest if needed and the staff restroom located in the hallway will be utilized for ill children. LPA observed a portable changing table with arm's reach to the hand washing sink and one potty training toilet.
This program will provide breakfast, lunch and p.m. snacks. The meals and snacks will be prepared on site. Infants with formula, parents provide and name is placed on the formula container. A monthly menu is available and posted in each classroom. For water drinking LPA observed disposable water cups, sippy cups and water pitcher in each classroom. LPA observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents. LPA observed the refrigerator temperature to be at 37.4 Fahrenheit and the water heater temperature set at 120 degrees.
Director Claudia Ceballos has proof of pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (expires 12/6/2022), preventative health and safety training with the nutrition dated fall semester 2019 and lead component 12/29/20 , child abused mandated certification (AB 1207) dated 04/25/22 and immunization against pertussis, and measles, and influenza. Director has been informed mandated reporter training must be completed every 2 years, and is available at www.mandatedreporterca.com
